London Jags?

I’ve been reading all the stories on all the NFL sites about the possibility of a team (Jaguars) being moved to London. There are mixed views all over the internet fan sites about it. Some like the idea and some are equally opposed to it.

My personal view is that it’s a crazy idea and is insulting to fans both in Jacksonville and fans in America .The truth of the matter is no matter whom we support or love, it doesn’t alter the fact that the sport is American and you shouldn’t be messing with things like it.

To all the good folk on my side of the pond, I ask you this. What would you do if your football (soccer) team decided to up sticks and move to Jacksonville ,yet still play in the English league?  Another point to consider is that us people in the British Isles have (well I would guess 90%) already got allegiances and have deep love for our particular NFL Teams. My love is the Broncos and has been since 1983 when C4 started showing highlights of games and my late dad and I loved the game right away and needed a team .My family lived in the Bronco Nation and it was a natural progression. My love grew deeper and deeper and even now aged 46 I’m still obsessing like a love struck teenager. My point is that if London did get a franchise then I for one would not have the slightest incline in swapping my team.

Another point is the price of Wembley and London .Its ok for a one or two off but to pay what Wembley charges on an eight game home season with maybe play-offs and the cost of travel is out of most peoples grasp. Then there’s the cost of fans travelling to the UK for fans of the away teams. As it stands now there’s just two games but imagine it if for example your team was in the London division and you had to travel every year to London.

I honestly don’t think it is a good idea and is just a way of the NFL exploiting and not caring for fans.

Is Fat Venky For Real Or What ?

Another  week passes by and its another week nearer the death of Blackburn Rovers. I don't that's any exaggeration with the way things are going. Last week started with the arch enemy and how they thought they had ended 34 years of hurt and how poetic it was that local lad stuck a stake in their heart in the 95th minute. How they mocked our celebration but it shows what short memories the Burnley clan have , I somehow think they did exactly the same down at t'urd when they did equalissed did they not?
Part two of the week came and Appleton was gone. Am I shocked or disappointed ,no and no (read my last blog) but  what worries me is the contempt and lack of respect these insane owners have for us fans. We are now six days into the non Appleton era and there has not been any word from Pune or for that matter Ewood on the happenings. One paragraph on the whole sorry saga seems enough for these sorry imbeciles . Today theres one paragraph from Gary Bowyer saying how he will do his best .How can two paragraphs suffice and be enough to win fans back?
We played Millwall in the 1/4 of the FA Cup and we had 8,000 turn outs for a massive game .Other people fans mocked the attendance but it just shows how much divide and division the Venkys have caused ,yet they seem oblivious to it all.

He said “Let this season finish (and then we shall have a look at the managerial scenario). WE ARE 13 POINTS OFF PLAY OFF SPOTS AND 4 OFF RELEGATION ONES .

HAHAHA MORE CRAZY DELUSIONAL PROPAGANDA CHICKEN CRAP, YOU LOVE FANS YET SNEAK IN/OUT OF EWOOD IN A FLEET OF ROCK STAR LIMOS , YOU WONT TALK TO FANS OR ANYONE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER, DO YOU ACTUALLY THINK FANS ARE THICK AND BENEATH YOU OR WHAT?
“Edinho is a good player and this is good exposure for him. It is also the first time that somebody with his calibre has come to India.”....CALIBRE? DO YOU ACTUALLY HAVE 1% FOOTBALL KNOWLEDGE?

Its an insane way to run our club but the question still remains are they totally thick in the head or totally unaware of whats happening .

I'M ASHAMED TO BE A ROVER

I did my last blog just after Berg was sacked ,Ive purposely refrained from doing one as I thought hey lets give Crappleton a chance. He wasn't my first choice and he certainly wasn't in my top 50 picks. His record before taking the venky chicken giblets was very poor to say the least . I posted on varying sites that he was not the man to take us up or kick on with. I read Blackpool fans were exstatic at him going to to us because he was so negative and tactically inept. But I thought heyho lets give him a chance .It started with the Venkys useless timing of his his first game to put an appearance in for the the 3 time or so in their awsome tenure. I made it on TV , radio and the National papers venting my spleen at them. Why did they appoint him? Well it seems there was a willy waving contest between the two ex nobbers and shabby wingit . The result being the two Preston chaps had bigger willies than shebby and how the owners love a big cock in charge. So the odious Shaw won and he appointed his buddy Appleton. Some day someone will make a film on all of this and Hollywood will fire it off as being to far fetched and crazy.
Things got tighter and a few wins ensued ,but as the other 105 managers we have had this season the wins were aided by bad finishing and lady luck. How we feared going to Highbury ,or emirates or what ever it is now known as . I for one thought it was going to be another Wenger spanking for us.How I was wrong ,I didn't care if I'm honest about the cup for the first time in my life . I didn't even think for a second about going and went to look at wedding venues for my step daughter instead.We came out and I turned the radio on to find out we had won and I went "oh". The Venkys have slowly killed my love for not just Rovers but football in general.
The win was the turning point of the season and our players got cocky and thought they were world beaters. Appletons reaction to all this was to go even negativier (is that a word?) and as we lost to Leicester at half time his words of encouragement to the team were "lets not lose the second half". What sort of coaching or encouragement was this,0-2 is not unreachable . He sends his teams out (pardon the French) shit scared of losing and would rather lose trying not lose than lose trying to win.
His style of football makes Fat Sam's style look Barcaesque. His comments at the end of games are straight from the Steve Kean Book Of Bullshit Volume 2.Hes another man in a place of power that is too deep for him.Apparently he has hired the PR company that worked with Beckham after his infamous sending off for England and how it shows. Talk is cheap I'm afraid.
The last two games at Ewood rank amongst the most dire performances Ive in fact EVER seen and I include the Kean era in this.Tonight we lumped it upfield and made Shittu look like a worldie and as for the players crocodile tears at the end and Appletons words of how hard we tried ,I'm afraid it doesn't wash. The only thing Appleton has done is dropping Murphy but that's countered by bringing the fan hating Orr back.
What happens now? According to a self proclaimed "in the know" member of a  certain message board( from which I'm banned for not being in the clique ) things are going to get nasty next week.He posted in November that after the Burnley game administration is coming. No idea if it will but things stink to high heaven at Ewood these days and its all down to the idiots who own us. I'm distraught at whats happened but i foresee L2 football  or Conference football for us in the next few seasons. The media ,radio and papers slaughtered us nasty fans for protesting last season but without saying we told you so ,we did tell them so.I take no happiness in saying it either .

I know its not a journilistic standerd but its my standard.

ON THE THIRD DAY OF CHRISTMAS

I am going to write this without swearing ,a first I know but here goes.
I got up late this morning having suffered from the dreaded bug that's going around (second time in a couple of weeks ...I digress). I turned TV on to see Berg had been sacked . I was shocked but not shocked ,it left me feeling numb if I'm totally honest .I wrote 57 days ago that Berg was appointed because maybe it would be harder to shout "Berg Out" . How wrong was that eh.
I then heard that Bling Venky had said he was sacked because of a "bad run of results". I then got told off by the wife for ranting and swearing at the TV .How could the clueless bling machine say this ,yes its been a bad run of results granted but Steve Coco Kean had a far worse run of results and still they DIDN'T fire him.
So what is actually really going on at the once proud club? God only knows . Its worse and more far fetched than an episode of Eastenders . From the moment the Indian no hopers came in its been a farce. Ive written about Beckham ,Ronaldiho and champions league claims.Its been akin to The Circus Of Horrors. We drifted without leadership last season and there were strong rumours of substitutes not being used due to Venky's financial rules, We had mystery injuries and good respected players sold,it all lead to relegation and there was not one word of apology from the freakish owners. They sold or released anyone who had a big wage and raked in good money for players, I stood outside Brockhall last season on transfer deadline in sub zero temperatures in protest and they replaced the good players with Bradley Orr a 5th choice player who did nothing but slag Rovers fans off.
Summer came and the clown in glasses came ,not Groucho but of similar  looks and again I blogged of his history of talking rubbish in punditry. I was on holiday as he tried brainwashing fans at King Georges Hall and 5000 Portuguese players arrived . The season kicked off despite Keans "run of bad results" and us fans still got pilloried by every media outlet in GB. We won some and were near the top but hand on heart the games we won we could quite easily have lost every single one of them .Then he walked out and Shabby Wingit took credit.
The farce of 5 weeks of Shabby bull was a farce, he said lots of big name managers wanted the job .Holloway seemed like he would jump at it however ,only in the Venky World of LA LA ,he didn't get it and it went to Berg .
His tenure nearly started well and only poor defending stopped him getting 3 points at Huddersfield and games including Burnley got thrown away in the last few minutes. I love Berg and what he has done for us as a player and would've loved him to turn it round.I still feel you cant judge a manager in 10 games and no transfer window,
What  is going on though ?  He wasn't allowed to bring his back room staff and was forced to work with a backroom that was poisoned with Kean. He seemed to pick a similar team to Kean and his subs in the last few weeks have been straight out of the Kean book.
Tonight there are rumours that Judan Ali /Mc Donald will be announced tomorrow and Shabby will be DOF or "unofficial manager". If this is true then I'm afraid I'm through with it all and cant go down to Ewood and watch the pigs feed at the Venky trough and any fan that does has no shame. I'm sick of all this now and feel the club I love is no more.I will go on New Years Day and shake hands and say goodbye to the friends Ive made over the last forty odd years and then throw my ticket on the pitch and leave at 3.05pm.

1.WHAT IS SHABBY WINGITS ROLE? is he pulling the team strings and is "unofficial manager"?
2.WHAT DO SINGH,AGNEW AND SHAW BRING TO THE TABLE?
3.WHY EMPLOY THEM WITH THEIR TRACK RECORD OF TAKING PRESTON TO L1?
4. WHY WAS HOLLOWAY NOT BROUGHT IN  (OR A PROVEN MANAGER) I'm not being a spoilt fan here ,but why spend 8m and pay players 30-40-50 k a week and have a rookie manager?
5.WILL A NEW MANAGER HAVE HIS HANDS SHABBY TIED?
6.WHAT IS THE LONG TERM PLAN? admin after taking us to the cleaners.?

One of these days people who blog about Rovers will have to write one without Venkys (I hope).
Every time I log on here it seems to be with disbelief at how they run us. One thing is for sure if they keep on going on like they are then the END IS NIGH for our beloved team.
How anyone can employ the " I Love Myself " Shabby is beyond my small brains capacity. He was a joke pundit and listening to him speak on Radio Lancs you would of thought that when he played he was Shebby Beckham.
He stated that Rovers would be promoted or die trying ,well I know which looks more favourite and it isn't going to Old Trafford next year.Last week on Radio Lancs he stuttered and mumbled all the way through it ,if he got an awkward question he answered by not answering it,like the Tories do ;). He seems to be of the opinion that he is Mr Blackburn Rovers and he owns the club .Either that or the people in Pune don't want to know. He was asked by Paul off BRFCS ( I think) if he could get a statement off Mrs Desai regarding the state of affairs ,he was told he could have a statement off the club .It appeared to me he thinks the club and owners are one .Who has more history pal the fans or you idiot Indian owners?
Theres all sorts of rumours of going on and its difficult that the club that used to be so so fan friendly is now of the stuff the fans mentality. Today's is that Agnew has allegedly said if no promotion next season then administration beckons.Berg has allegedly stormed out of training today and is on the brink of quitting.
If Berg did quit I wouldn't ridicule or slate him for it as I honestly believe Shabby or his bosses are interfering into everything including selections and as was hinted at last season substitutions. Like I said no idea if these are true or not.Shabby said no new players have been shortlisted ,if this is true then its again beyond belief. You cant understand the thoughts or mind process in the make believe world of the Venkys. Last season at Christmas investing in the team was paramount and big money was needed to help avoid relegation. This season following the selling or releasing of high earners saw them pay 8 million for Rhodes and a huge wedge for Best ,a past it Murphy and a useless Etuhu and the signing of every player with a Portuguese name.Nothing they do makes sense and they have caused fans to turn on each other and cause a never to  be repaired divide.
The idiotic statement by Shabby emphasises all this when he said any Rovers fan who doesn't attend isn't a Rovers fan but a football fan only. The prestigious 3rd rd Fa Cup day is approaching and I for one wont be giving the Venkys any extra money as I'm totally disillusioned with it all .If anyone who has Singhs ear wants to put him in touch with me I will tell him the unsugared truth of how a lot of fans feel about him and the V's. Doesn't it make your blood boil.

STILL COUNTING

In the days of police cuts ,council cuts etc it must have cost us Lancashire a small fortune on Sunday for the policing bill. It was OTT of the highest order . Yes it was safe but bloody hell fire you would have thought it christ v anti christ.
Remember this if you take the time to read ,the game started at 12.30 and finished about 2.30 . My day started at 7.30, yes 7.30 FIVE hours before kick off for a game 8 miles from home. I set off with my passport and  inoculations proof just in case. The M65 resembled the car chase in Blues Brothers. It was awash with riot vans ,police dog vans ,police bikes and above the motorway we were also covered by helicopters.
I got to Chorley and picked my lad up who was attending the Turd for the first time .He made an impression on his new neighbours as at 8am he was singing"Henning Bergs blue n white army!" at full voice on his new street.GOOD LAD.
We then went up to my old stomping ground where I used to live and pick my nephew and his mate up.They had been up since 6am and on the ale.I was soon informed to shut up as i was worse than them last time we played our six fingered friends. I was driving so as to stay sober and look after my lad just in case.
Ewood was the forced destination and a bacon butty and sausage was need and how they took the you know what as i scoffed two and how I laughed when hours later they were all starving. We got on the coach and waited and waited and waited some more. As we set off one lad had gone for a toilet break and we moved ,he ran like Mo and tried to catch us ,he did well and in vain as we didn't stop.The story is funny now as he was allowed on another one .
We passed Padiham at 20 mph and we then all set our watches back by 15 years to the land that time forgot time. ..All the Dingles must have still been in bed as it was so quite , it must have too early for the social grabbers to get up as it was before 1pm. We got a ham shankers sign once and that was from a 5 year old social misfit.
We arrived at the Dingle Dome and apparently we got filmed by the BBC news and our sexy mushes were on Look Northwest. We found our seats whilst the nephew bought a beer or two and how the Burnley fans proved yet again that the inbred dingle title as they looked like rejects from the rejects of shameless. They really are crazy frothing folk.
To the game .....first half SHIT
second half brought an improvement and how we celebrated Rhodes goal, I don't think I've ever seen celebrations like it.I was nearly in tears as just before we scored my late dad used to throw a POLO on the floor and we would score and I threw a chewing gum to the floor and we scored just after .Although the special folk celebrated a last minute equaliser like they had won the world cup.Even after the game they folded five fingers away and the remaining one on each hand they made a victorious 1-1 sign .
When we got back on the coaches we saw fences like in Belfast or in the middle east .We still travelled back at 20 mph and by the time i got home after dropping everyone off it was nearly 6pm .a day of nearly 12 hours for a 2 hour game 8 miles away ...crazy....but ...but

THEY WILL NEVER BEAT THE ROVERS.

Berg A King

Having watched awful football for the past few years and yes I include Big Sam's Hoof as well,it was refreshing to see the ball on the floor on Tuesday night. Berg in a week looks to have changed the Rovers style in one fail swoop.Take a bow Mr Berg.
We set off ,my lad ,nephew and me more in the hope of a win than expecting one.I predicted a win and they all scoffed . We arrived and my two passengers wanted a Big Mac when they saw a sign saying two minutes away.It was two minutes IF you are called Mo and are an Olympic Champion. We turned round and went to a chippy with an outside table .When we had finished I offered my chair to an old dear and the ignorant Yorkshire pudding didn't even have the decency to say thanks.
We found our seats and the first thing we noticed has the players warmed up was that the players were actually having a proper "warm up " and were actually doing real stretches.We had commentated at the Watford game how half hearted and lacklustre the pre game was ,so it was good to see the change and hopefully this will lead to better fitness and less stupid muscle injuries.
We kicked off and Rochina launched a volley from about 40 yards that if the goalie and pulled a worldie then it would be one nil with thirty seconds gone and goal of the century.
We followed up with shot after shot and the Berginater seems to have a shoot on sight policy.We then proceeded to do our customised suicidal defending and go undeservedly a goal down. The booing that followed after a move broke down was embarrassing but it soon got jovial again as we scored with their former hero . We continued to dominate and got a penalty and our group sang "Marcus Olsson took a dive he hates Yorkshire."2-1. We should really have seen the game out and held the ball at Towns corner flag instead of crossing the ball and then suicidal tendencies took over again and it was 2-2 and over.
Looking back ,overall I was impressed with the keep ball passing we played ,if its good enough for Spain then its good enough for me too. Yes its going to take time and we need to keep our noses in the promotion race until the transfer window and players like the pathetic rover fan hating ex dingle Orr can be got shut of. Berg needs to get players he needs and the Rovers fans now need is to have patience and NOT get on the players backs if a move breaks down and Ewood needs to start getting loud again.I actually sang again and got excited and its something i thought Id never see again. I still hate Venkys but maybe just maybe Henning may get the chicken pluckers out of their own hole.

The Berginater

It's here ,he's here ,the new manager has arrived.The people we heard linked came and went, Holloway, Sherwood ,Rednapp ,Marascumbagadonna , Mkinlay ,Mcarthey and more .Every name form Blackburn to Jupiter and non of the so called "In The Knows " ,pundits or journalists saw it coming.
Welcome back to Blackburn Mr Berg .Following his public slating of all things Venky a few months back I hope and pray that he hasn't taken the chickens golden eggs as "change your mind ...you are now hypnotised " puppet money.I hope he does have the balls to stand up to class clown Shebby and the two Preston fans ,most of all he has the guts and common decency to stand up to Barry White and Bull Venky and their totally clueless sister whose name I hate writing ,so I wont.
It's taken five weeks to get an unemployed manager.My gripe isn't with Berg its with the fact that also on the list were reputedly the likes of Schuster,Clemente, Guillt and co. How Shabby joyfully and vigorously announced ,what a list and that was the start of Operation Venkysmokescreen yet again.It matched the announcements of when they took over withBeckham,Marascummydonna ,Ronaldinho and Riquelme.Oh don't worry we are your baby and as they promised Champions League,Cup wins and an all raft of empty promises.We watched helplessly as the stars got sold,kean cluelessly got us relegated and the magnificent owners just played with their chicks as we went down.Still kean stayed and then eventually he resigned and wasn't sacked.Yet after all this they still believed that we ( I for one wont ever) were so gullible that we would fall for their words of top manager.
I'm no premier league snob and have followed us in the old 3rd division and the 2nd division.Ive lost jobs and girlfriends following the team I love and I got told today I'm always negative .I'm not negative ,maybe I'm older and wiser than when I was a  Boddington full fan and it was a great way to spend weekends.I'm just so worried that these jokers have just employed an old legendesque player so as to ,if and when they balls it up , that its harder for fans to protest against Berg than it was for kean.
I loved Berg as the player he was for us back in his day.Words don't need saying as to what he achieved (google him if you have to) .I hope he has realised the squad is unfit and players like Orr are not good enough or fit to  wear our proud blue and white halves.
I forsee promotion via the playoffs with us beating and Paying back Palace for the 80's (if your under 40,ask your dad) with a KCR dive!  No idea really which way it will go .
I sign off by wishing Henning Berg all the best luck in the world as he will need it with his plucking bosses.

CLUCK OFF VENKYS!!!!!!!

Can anyone still believe that the V's have not yet appointed a new manager ? Its a crazy situation that the Lunes From Pune have created .Not only is it an embarrassing time to be a fan but also I would bet players too. In what other business would a person be allowed to run /own a multi -million pound business without actually knowing what they are doing. The clueless leader of our club has been to one game in our life . Even at the game she went to, she didn't even have the respect to go on the pitch in front of the fans.Its a sad fact of life when THE PROTEST CHICKEN has spent more time on the pitch than her.(I would bet ,even run the club better than her)
The end of Kean meant a lot of people gave the pluckers a second chance especially when Shabby said we had high calibre applicants.We awaited with baited breath for a good experienced manager , we waited and we waited and still we wait. Some of the names mentioned were Schuster ,Klinsman and I still said we wouldn't go that route as people forget we are in the small league now and not the big one.Names of Sherwood and Shearer are mentioned and I for one would have no problem with these ex legends ,cluck I'd forgive n forget  how they left. I went to bed under the impression Shearer was the man.I awoke to MkInlay .not only in the frame but Fulham had been approached. He is another ex rover and not even close to legend status and although he had some good games for us he spent most his time allegedly feigning injury and sulking.The worse thing I learnt today is that he is best mates with Kean.
The last sentence is the scariest thing Ive ever heard .Imagine in the Wonderful Wacky World Of Venky Cluelessness , that, the old rumours that Kean was a Co- owner and it wasn't a rumour and he still wasrunning the show.I'm not insinuating anything by the way, just thinking what if. Kean suing the club could be a smokescreen and he ordered Shabby to appoint his best mate to be the puppeteer for him.He gives Badger a huge wad to do whatever Kean wanted including still picking the team.(((NOT ACCUSING ANYONE OF ANYTHING FOR THE RECORD ,JUST IMAGINING))
What now lies ahead is the most important decision our club has ever had to make.If we appoint Team Kean2 then I'm afraid the club dies.

Antidote For Fumbleitus?

Fumbleitus? Is there such a word I’ve no idea without looking it up but the Broncos are suffering from a form of it, now known as Big Play Fumbleitus and we have not one but a number of players suffering from it .I have not worked out how many points or W’s it has cost us but I would hazard a guess it’s a lot. The three last week sure hurt us big time and they were game changers that could have helped reap some payback on McDonut and the Cheatariots.
I’ve posted on the message board  about Demaryius Thomas walking around with the ball attached to him. This is what The Denver Post had to say. “On the football Demaryius Thomas carried tight to his pec muscle, hand over tip, from the locker room to the training room was a green cover.

HE'S GONE BUT BUT BUT

I have refrained from writing anything for a week since the nameless one went and resigned.I didnt want to put anything down that was based on pure adrenalin and heat of the moment. I still can't believe he walked and the stories doing the rounds just carry on to serve the notion that The Venkys are totally clueless and crazy.
It appears that they were not going to sack the hated manager and that the crazy woman in charge bowed to the blubbering crocodile tears of mrs coward. If its true that he let his wife blubber and persuade the owner to change her mindthen i'm speechless.It  is beyond belief. Im now convinced  that the owners red dot on her head isn't anything to do with religeon , but,is in fact a buttton that resets her memory to a default were she and her brothers dont remeber what Kean has done to the Rovers.
Im still in shock at Paul Merson and Charlie Nicholas last week on Sky and the way they laid in to Rovers fans for Keans departure.It was a disgrace and should have been an embarassment to the producers and the other pundits on the panel. For Merson to pop at fans knowledge ,I would like to counter him and ask him how it went when he was Walsall manager.
The vacancy certainly has seen some intriguing and interesting names bandied about and we now stand at the crossroads of probably the most imporatant decision in our illustrious history. The atmsphere I expected would be a carnival and party one yesterday and if we had played at home first it would have been .We have seen so much rubbish since he went and its flat because no-one want to see the Kean Tree grow. I feel if he does get the gig then there is no hope for our club and goes a long way to showing who actually owns us.I was handing my ticket back in after the Boro game but when a boycott of the wolves game was planned i thought i would wait and see if it worked.If Black gets it I think my ticket will still go back.

MORE RUMOURS AND BOLLOCKS

Another day another rumour, another day in the world of the pathetic Venky ownership. Are these jokers right in their head , are these clowns for real, are these pluckers just clueless and naive?
I don't have a clue as to the real answer to these questions. One thing I know for sure is that they do not give two clucks about our beloved club. If they did they would not have let it get to this stage with thousands of fans boycotting and not going whilst the useless rhino skinned cretin being still allowed to walk around the stadium like an inmate in the local lunatic asylum. I reckon he was made in the old hospital and has been kept hidden by the Burnley matron of the old Brockhall Hospital ,because no human in their right mind could stand there week after week and be unaffected like he seems to be,
The pluckers said they loved our club and that they would treat it like their baby. I don't know how Indians treat babies but child abuse must be rife if that's how they look after little ones( not accusing Indians of anything before anyone says something). To treat the fans the way do is appalling and in any normal way of life the customers are normally right.
Do these idiots not realise the trouble they are causing by keeping this idiot in charge? Are they just stubborn or they not in charge? The media are now spinning it again that us fans got us  relegated and not kean and why sack him after the start. Some fans are fickle and now saying the same things. I didn't go on Friday and it is the first time in my life I voluntarily missed a game as I'm so upset at what has happened. I watched on TV and it was appalling and yet the pundits slagged us off including ex rover Hignett. I know we have had a good points wise start to the season but its been absolutely awful. If we were bottom with no point I for one couldn't argue because its been that bad.
Ive been working today and returned to rumours again hes been sacked but I just cant see it.

Kean Free Weekends...IT THE FUTURE I TELL THEE

Its been great today,the sun as just come out and theres no footy. I would be like a grumpy old git in the past on days like this .Today Ive taken my dog for a couple of hours along the canal and round Harwood , all stress free and do you know why its stressless ? Its a Kean Free Weekend and i for one love it.
Numb nuts has been sprouting his lying words again this week in the papers,how do I know its lies,thats simple he talked and everything he says is 99.99999% lies and bull. He reckons he hasn't seen the players he brought in play and to me if this was true any manager worth his salt would have walked away in disgust., not our Stevie baby.
He bickers and there "appears" according to the IN THE KNOWS a power struggle between him and Shabby.A lot of fans appear to have fallen for Shebby but having read what Ive read about him and his clueless punditry ,I think its all a cleverly staged pantomime with them both acting under orders to take pressure of numb nuts.

It got me wondering too ,if all those folk who loved Sams hoofball and have deserted the season Ticket then WHY are they not flocking back?

UK TV BLACKOUT?

With the new NFL season almost upon us ,us oversea NFL fans find ourselves in a position where we have no NFL TV coverage of the sport we have all adopted and taken to heart. Up to now we have had fantastic coverage ,over the past few years we have had double headers on SKY and then C4/C5 with SNF .The MNF has been on ESPNUK and the Thursday games have had SKY showing them.We have even had 5live extra with radio commentaries on games.
Now with season about to get under way we have NO official games in the UK .We don't even get Total Access any more. Alister Kirkwood was on TV last Winter telling us how the UK was planning to go even more NFL friendly and talked of a UK based  franchise. I feel now the hushness/secretness, call it what you like ,  of the whole situation is now starting to get the UK base rankled .
Why is being left so late to be announced one way or another? I hope they are not planning on showing MNF on another PPV channel as being rumoured. We know its not legal but are we going to be left with dodgy streaming only or is all a crafty ploy to get all overseas folk to sign up for Gamepass on NFL.com.
Going back to how it was would be a step back in time and a kick in the punters for us UK fans. How many remember what it was like Pre internet.We had a hour of highlights from the week before and sometimes if the wind was blowing hard and in the right direction and the weather allowed then you could listen to US Forces radio.

Having got back last Friday evening from a two week holiday on the wonderful Island of Corfu with its hot unbroken sunshine,Mythos and relaxation ,I immediately became stressed with the Venky Crazies. May I say that I took every opportunity to write on dusty windows and huge sand letters with the infamous words KEAN OUT all over Sidari.I was sat in a bar last Weds night when my hand started and pint started shaking,the wife couldn't believe it was because it was less than a week and pre kean tension had started ...it soon stopped with a big glass of Ouzo !
I returned to rumours ,giddiness and gullibility of what the dodgy geezer had to say at "open meeting". I was toldthat at the meeting Singh had said that numb nuts would be fired if he loses three in  a row and that he had called MGP a pensioner whose legs had gone.
I'm on record as saying I don't trust him as hes another puppet employed by the Lunes From Pune (I said that from the day I heard of this "pundit") . How can this employee have more power than the brothers .If rumours were to be true and they wanted Kean out after relegation, then why would a pundit off Asian Telly who apparently thrives talking rubbish and loves to wind up the viewers have more power than the Unchuckle Brothers,it doesn't add up.
He unprofessionally slagged a Rovers stalwart  and subsequently was forced to apologise. What are this new puppets credentials ? A Malaysian footballer and controversial pundit (he wanted to play Gerrard has left back for England !!). Also what is his job? GLOBAL ADVISOR. If anyone wants to correct me has any other sports team in the world got one? Had anyone even heard of such a job,especially in a league out of the countries elite.?
We played Ipswich on Saturday and I listened on the radio and Ive lost that much respect now for the owners and my team that when we and they scored I went oh .no emotion  and for anyone who knows me that's unreal. Then the shiny headed no brained buffoon said if they hadn't been in our box so many times they wouldn't have scored.Hes an absolute headcase.
Last night saw our first game at Ewood in this league and it was appalling ,Ive NEVER been as bored in my entire Rovers life,I wanted to leave at half time but my lad stopped me.72 mins for our first shot speaks volumes. People on fans forums said Hull wanted 0-0 ,but the truth is we could have been 3 down by time we had a shot. I wish I had joined the masses of not renewing as seeing Kean stand there makes my blood pressure rocket ,that cant be right.The highlight of the night was shouting to Sav to get his boots on.
Then Talksport laid into the fans again as I drove homeI was driving home   for hating Kean ,for booing and for Premiership snobbery.Then today the slob AKA Brazil and his sidekick plastic Manc from Bolton laid the boot in again and said Rovers fans could only ring in if they didn't slag Kean or Venkys. What is it with the media and its Kean love in? Then the fraudster Shabby showed his true colours on the same station when he completely backtracked and squirmed about he cant sack Kean and it was a generalisation remark.

WHY?

After the tragic sad events in Denver a few days ago ,I find myself wondering why is it people are fascinated by guns. Personally Ive only ever fired a gun on one occasion and that was when I was fifteen (many years ago). I had visited my family in Glenwood Springs and I remember it vividly as my Uncle took his guns to the firing range. It was good, yes, but it never wanted me to go out and buy one.
The big difference between England and USA is gun attitude,Ive no idea on the politics of gun laws in either country and nor do I really care if I'm honest ,each to their own I suppose. Is it down to the "glory" of the old cowboys ? In England if you have a gun in the house in the UK then you are going to get in a lot of trouble off the Police. In the USA ,perception appears to be (sterotypically) if you don't have one you are a freak.I don't know if this is a fair view or just a biased view.
What drives these "crazies" to go on wild murdering mass murdering shooting sprees? Are guns so easy to get in America ?Are there rules? I can understand people who go hunting with guns for food for the freezer in winter ,that has rational reasons .I can understand people who grow up in  and around a gun environment and want to fire guns but why not just go to a range?
Its so sad how many people die with the gun, what actually causes someone to flip over the edge. Is it video games, poverty, mental issues or what ? Mind you its not just USA that has these issues,look at Norway and the evil shooter that killed all those kids or Dunblane here.
If this doesn't make people sit up and take action then I sure has hell have no idea what will.What has the world become where one needs a gun in your trousers just to "protect".
I'm not a church goer but Ive prayed all weekend for the families who have lost loved ones and its so wrong that all these folk were doing was watching a movie. Anyone who has a gun I think now needs to take a long hard look in the mirror and ask themselves ...why.

Who Do You Think You Are Kidding Mr Venky

Hands up or like at the bottom of this post if you remember or have seen the old Dad's Army theme tune! It went along the lines of " Who do you think you are kidding Mr Hitler?" It was aimed at Adolf's propaganda machine which was telling one thing when everyone else was seeing and knowing something else.
Well it most certainly compares to the crazy folk who have the keys to Ewood.They seem to have sacked everyone from the club and left the insane numb nuts in charge of the team .How on Earth this can happen is quite frankly a sham. Not only does he not have any feeling in his thick skin ,he doesn't even have the self respect that any "normal" man worth his salt has.If he had, after the abuse hurled (deservedly) at him for being the WORST ever Rovers manager then he would have walked away ,knowing he was out of his depth. He is like the Hitler propaganda machine as he doesn't have the guts to hold his hand up and say to the fans ,hey sorry I cocked up.
Then the Lunes From Pune hire a failed Malaysian footballer who by all accounts makes Lawro look like a good pundit.He wrote a few weeks ago Kean must go ,if I remember right  HE wanted Gerrard as a full back. Bloody nora he isn't even a Rovers fan he is a self confessed Spurs fan. He comes in and first thing he says as a GLOBAL ADVISER ..( no you read it right..whats that I hear people ask...I AIN'T GOT A CLUCKING CLUE (its a made up job)) is everyone starts with a clean slate. Well Shabby I have news for you ,IT DOESN'T WASH WITH FANS PAL!!!! They have brought in Best for nearly 4 million and I wouldn't be surprised if someone convinced the owd battle axe its actually Georgie Best.As for the picture of him and numb nuts smiling nearly flipped me over the edge. Yet the gullible happy clappers are in the belief, either throw gross stupidity or foolishness that the V's are spending money from the Venky purse..LOOK I WILL SAY THIS ONCE ...THEY ARE NOT!!

Geared Up?

I'm sat here watching Neighbours (as Ive done for 25 years .....mock away!!!) and one of the actors has a Glasgow Celtic shirt on and it got me thinking about how everyone gets their hands on what they want and how its changed since I became a Bronco fan in 1982. For what started as a few highlights on C4 has now turned into an obsessive  like hobby.
Cutting a long story short I picked my team based on relatives in the Denver area who were ardent fans and from there it was an addictive Mile High so to speak. I then got the bug and of course when a bug starts you need merchandise and things that a real sports must have.
The next thing is then working out how you can get an Elway or just a Bronco Tee-shirt from the thousand miles of pond water. Now thinking back to those "old fashioned" days without the Internet ,I wonder how life ever existed.You had no idea what was on offer or what fans wore to games. How did I do it back then ,well I waited until my Grandma flew over there and hoped she would bring me a Bronco souvenir back .
It then developed into tee shirts ,caps ,hoodies and cups. Then as the Internet slowly but surely developed and websites for Bronco fans started being born then the Bronco needs become more and more.I went to Phoenix around 1999 (i think) and there I found a shop in a mall that sold NFL stuff .It was there I purchased my first jersey ..ROMANOWSKI. I wore it everywhere and the friends I had who like the NFL were all jealous I had a jersey.
Nowadays the world for long distance fans of any team or sport for that matter is a click away. Ive purchased stuff off eBay ,I still get my mum to get me jerseys ,hell I had her chase everywhere for an orange Tebow jersey last year, Ive stumbled on gear in TKmax of all places and my last and proudest possession is now a #18 orange Manning jersey which I got from Mike on the NFL MERCHANDISE UK and now I'm ready to have day out in the sunshine where I can gloat and show it off like a big baby ,heck I may even wear it over my bike jacket next time I go for a ride. I'm even thinking of having a BRONCOBLUE 69  one made up haha.

How do you all get your stuff ,if your a long distance fan ? is it a similar story to mine or do you have any other ways you would like to share and by other ways I don't mean mugging someone :)..
